Why Kent Hovind Is in Jail

A Comment From Another Blogger in the comment section

As for the tax issue, do youself a favor and research the law. The first amendment is very clear in regards to regulating churches. In my opinion the individual income tax is a fraud!!! The IRS unlawfully requires churches to incorperate in order to not pay taxes. This is a clear violation of the first amendment!!! Also, when a church incorperates (501c3 not for profit organization)the IRS list 26 different regulations on that church such as "no public protesting of pornography" or "no promotion of a particular political candidate" or " no telling parents that they HAVE rule over their children above the STATE" Kent Hovind was imprisoned for worshipping JESUS CHRIST instead of the IRS!!!!

I also believe in Brother Hovinds ministry regardless of his tax status. Yes, he is still in prison. He got 10 years, which is just a shame, some MURDERERS and child abusers don't get 10 years. Another fine example of the state our country is in! Anyways!

The first amendment in the American constitution says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

The amendment is that government is to allow religion and politcal thought, it does not deal with taxes.

In the second sentence, it is obvious she believes that Hovind is guilty of tax evasion. Comparing Hovind's sentence with murderers and child abusers is inaccurate.

Each case is different, bearing on the pleading, the evidence and the conviction.

Reading her comments tells me that the truth hurts

Your problem is not with creation, or with Kent Hovind, nor with me.

Your problem is with GOD, and the bible.

I am done corresponding with you.

I hope you get right before you meet Him.

Because he is a false teacher.

Why are you so anti-evolution, anti-homoseuxality, and anti-truth?

It is sad to see people support Hovind like that. I don't think that the whole community should ditch him like they did to Ted Haggard, but it would be nice if people realized that he is a deceptive criminal.
Maybe we should pull one of these: "if you don't like the laws of this country, then get out". Then again, that would make us look like ignorant fools (and you're from Ontario of course).

Keep it up bro.

First off. Churches aren't allowed to support candidates, protest ponography, etc, because they dont pay taxes. By paying taxes you allow for your opinion. In fact giving churches tax free status has only given institutions a feeling of being above the law. If anything the privilege should be revoked because of past abuses and fraud to other tax paying Americans.
Secondly, Bread-basket Christians latch on to speakers who make sensationalist claims and tell people what they want to hear while going about their lives in the sinful ways that they preach against. They control people.

God is love but I am no sheep. Love God don't latch on to humans they are just as capable of mistakes as you are. Listen to your conscience God gave you it too.
